What is gastric bypass surgery?

Gastric bypass surgery is a surgical procedure that is performed under general anesthesia, and takes between 2 to 4 hours. During which the stomach is reduced in size by connecting the upper part of the stomach and immediately diverting its path to the small intestine, so that food is directed to the upper section only without the lower section, and therefore when the patient eats a little food, they feel full immediately, as if their stomach had been filled with food.

Today, thanks to the gastric bypass operation, we can get rid of high percentages of excess weight, up to 80% of our normal weight, and avoid many diseases that may threaten our health and our lives.
